Some people are still upset about Ash no longer being the MC, but I'm glad he is gone. Don't get me wrong, I will always love Ash, but after watching his adventures for over 26 years I needed a change. Liko is like a fresh breath of air. Plus, I'm loving Sprigatito as a partner Pokémon as well... 😻 😻 😻 😻

Agreed. In some ways, we'll all miss him, we grew up with him - but they found a good spot to end his story, and everything has to come to an end eventually. I'd rather have it end like it did, on a high note and with hope for the future - rather than drag out until the Ash we all knew and loved is gone. I'm looking forward to seeing where Horizons takes us.

You can only be 10 years old for so long and each new season being a system reset on basic common sense and all his progress really irritated.

Instead of letting him grow, they kept dragging him down.

I'm glad to see so many people like and agree with my comment. I like what you are saying, but let's be honest, we both know how Pokémon is. They are probably gonna keep Liko the same age for many years to come. I personally hope we get a new protagonist every 5 or 10 years. With ten years being the max, because I know Pokémon is gonna milk the heck out of Liko like they did with Ash.

YES! istg as a kid it blew my mind they would keep "resetting" his pokemon team and friends EVERY season and the fact he stayed as a kid felt so backwards! and the fact his personality was so childish and stagnant at the same time made it really hard to connect to the character!

Liko is the complete opposite she seems "alive" personality wise and things dont magically work out for her! similarly she's socially awkward and struggles meeting new people & friends!!!

In Gen 1 we got just the start of franchise.
In Gen 2 we got pokemon eggs, gender, shiny pokemon, new pokeballs, day & night, new evolution mechanics, two new pokemon types.
In Gen 3 we got pokemon abilities, berries, more new pokeballs, and the poke contest machanic.
In Gen 4 we got just continuations of what gens 2 & 3 started but also got form change.
In Gen 5 we got Poke-fusion and seasonal changes game play, a unique trade evolution mechanic.
in Gen 6 we got mega evolution, a new pokemon type, new evolution mechanics, customize character feature, and ride pokemon.
In Gen 7 we got Z-moves, different regional variants, and first time ever the box legendries get pre evol forms, Ride pokemon feature continued.
In Gen 8 we got Daimaxing, more different reginal variants + evolutions, and more new evolution mechanics.
In Gen 9 we got Terrastalizing mechanic, and Paradox pokemon.
